Trance troubles.

Postby v35322 » June 23rd, 2009, 3:31 am

I'm having troubles getting into a trance ... it seems like I'm just too aware of my surroundings to actually fall into a trance. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Which inductions have you tried?

Not every induction works for every person.

Also, you should make certain you can listen where there are minimal outside distractions. If you find yourself overly awake try listening at the end of the day before bed.

I don't think there is a rule that says you have to keep your eyes closed. Maybe having your eyes open will help you relax and focus on what you are doing, because it will be easier to trust that if something needs your attention "out there" you will know it.

Thats exactly what trance is - being more aware of your surroundings is a great sign of a light to medium trance.
